About Elan Katz, CEO

Elan Katz earned his pharmacy degree from Long Island University. In 2000, Mr. Katz opened his first pharmacy in New York City. Since then, he has owned and managed 19 separate locations, 10 of which were started from the ground up and 9 of which were acquired. Mr. Katz has built a large pharmacy empire, which currently consists of 10 retail pharmacies, 1 long-term care pharmacy, a pharmaceutical distributor, and a pharmacy brokerage. The company's annual revenue is $60 million.

Throughout his career, Mr. Katz has been involved in many notable transactions. In 2009, Mr. Katz organized a takeover of 4 Drug Fair locations in Central New Jersey. In 2011, the stores were sold to Rite Aid Corporation in a large transaction worth over $2.6 million.

The sales, professional and management teams under the direction of Mr. Katz work hard to compete with mail-order pharmacies, large chain pharmacies and other independent pharmacies. Mr. Katz is an advocate of efficient and complete inventories, impeccable service, state-of-the-art technology, and stringent safety and privacy practices. Mr. Katz's company is expanding its resources and capabilities on a daily basis and is determined to be successful.

Elan Katz is involved with many professional organizations. He is a member of the Pharmacist Society of the State of New York, a member of the National Community Pharmacists Association, and works closely with the National Association of Board of Pharmacy. Mr. Katz is also involved with many community organizations such as the Coney Island Community Board, the Russian Division of Gateways, Russian American Jewish Experience, and the Russian American Culture Foundation.

Max Spivak, CFO

Max Spivak is a graduate of Cornell University. He has had significant professional experience in the corporate world. Mr. Spivak's career began in the financial advisory field at Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch. He continued on as a consultant at Deloitte Consulting where he worked in the compensation and healthcare consulting service lines. Mr. Spivak also spent time as a designated primary market maker on the floor of the Chicago Board of Options Exchange and the American Stock Exchange. He was responsible for the several NASDAQ and Russell derivative products.

In 2008, Mr. Spivak exited the financial services field and entered the healthcare industry as a Pharmacy Operations Manager. He quickly expanded his role at the company and contributed to the exponential growth of the business. Mr. Spivak was responsible for several acquisitions and the redesign of internal accounting and financial security procedures. Currently, he serves as the Chief Financial Officer responsible for all day-to-day financial operations.

Mr. Spivak is an avid hiker and adventurer. When he is not working, he can be found fishing at a secluded lake or rafting on rapids.
